A few thoughts and cool quotes on starting a business.

Are you considering starting a new business in North Carolina?  I would like to share a few quotes I find inspirational to help with your thought process.

If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters. -- Alan K. Simpson.

So true, the most important attribute any business person will ever have is their integrity.  Being your own boss means you call the shots, you control what your business offers, and you decide what is presented to your customers and employees.  No pushing an agenda you may not believe in. No selling a product or service you no longer feel is the best choice for your customer just to make a quota.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly  [steve jobs] want to become. Everything else is secondary.-- Steve Jobs

Amen! Life is too short and uncertain not to follow your heart.  If you have a business idea or concept you truly believe in; access your risk, consider the worst scenario if your business were to fail and decide if you can accept that scenario.  If you can accept it, pursue your dream and never give up until you make it happen.

"The explorers of the modern era are the entrepreneurs, men with vision, with the courage to take risks and faith enough to brave the unknown. These entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth in the United States."--Ronald Reagan

Small businesses historically employs more than half of all American workers and creates 80% of new jobs.  As a small business owner you can truly help other people by creating jobs and working to revitalize our economy.

Good food for thought!

Thanks,

Richard
